Pantanal photography tour, Brazil

9-day tour

The Pantanal photography tour is a 9-day wildlife photo tour to Pantanal, which is the world’s largest tropical wetland. A large part of the territory is flooded during the rainy season (November through March), for this reason, the ecosystem is able to sustain a high diversity of wildlife.

The Pantanal photography tour focuses on the Northern Pantanal area. There, we provide our guests the best conditions for wildlife photography. That is to say, by taking you to the best-known spots.

First, the wildlife photography adventure starts nearby the town of Poconé. There, we will be searching for Pantanal specialties like Red-legged Seriema, Greater Rhea, and Yacaré Caiman. Also, we spend two nights at Piuval Lodge, specifically to look for Giant Anteater and Hyacinth Macaw.

Then, the tour goes to Pantanal Norte Lodge. Here, the targets are Marsh Deer, Brazilian Tapir, Red-brocket Deer, Giant Anteater, just to mention a few.

After that, we move to the Aymara Lodge. We will spend another two nights here, looking for Jaguar, Giant River Otter, Toco Toucan, Helmeted Manakin, Zigzag Heron, and more.

Finally, the Pantanal photography tour gets to Chapada dos Guimarães. This is a unique destination for wildlife, and specially bird photography. There, we will have more opportunities to photograph Giant River Otters and Jaguars. Of course, interesting birds to photograph in the area are Maguari Stork, Crimson-crested Woodpecker, Scarlet-headed Blackbird, and other birds.
